The goal of the American Sports University Athletic Department to develop the student-athlete
within the context of the sport's univeral philosophy of fair play and competitiveness.
The ultimate goal of our athletic participation is to develop individuals willing to work in the business, health, fitness, and wellness industry, even as we seek to achieve optimal results in the athletic and combat arena. We believe involvement in organized athletics is designed to help students mature mentally, phsycially, spiritually, socially, and ethically. At the same time student-athletes develop the attributes of self-discipline, self-control, integrity, and with indomitable spiritual values. Athletic Programs At ASU our teams consist of traditional collegiate team sports such as football, basketball, soccer and wrestling. In addition, ASU is unique among colleges by hosting a variety of Martial Art teams, such as Taekwondo and Karate, along with Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. As America's only four-year sports business university, we intent to continue our commitment to healthy bodies and healthy minds, by growing our athletic teams and our students' academic excellence in preparation for success within the professions of the sports industry.
